Every creation from Studio Joan Marie has a story. Just like your story, it’s truly unique, rich and full of wonder. It also is a story of overcoming and becoming.

Joan Marie Geisler has been creating since she was a little girl. At age eight she colored the walls of her bedroom to paint a “ garden “ because she craved color and beauty in the world. She frequented her mother’s jewelry box and was mesmerized by her simple costume jewelry. There was one piece she loved the most. “ When I was a little girl my mom ( Grace ) would get out her jewelry box and show me her prized cameo ring. Mom survived the Great Depression so to have a cameo was a really big deal for her. Cameos will always remind me of my precious mom and the first introduction to the mystery and beauty of jewelry. “

“ We lost mom to a long battle with Alzheimers disease two months ago. My sisters and me named our effort to care for mom “ Team Grace.” When mom died, I decided to create a Team Grace memorial pendant for each of us girls. When I saw the Grace Venus cameo I both cried and was elated because our pendants will be graced by Grace.”
